Det of the Month: Takao at 0400
Coin money in the MWR pot. Boots on the mountain before the trains start.
· Dispatched by Gunny T.
When you stand watch in the world's largest metropolis, the silence of the high trail hits differently. At 0330, Watch Section 2 mustered in the det gym, prepped 45-pound rucks, and hit the trail before the first commuter train left Shinjuku. With sunrise casting gold across Mount Fuji, the detachment brewed stove coffee at the summit. Funded entirely by coin purchases from supporters back home.
